Disclosure statement

Every time that a reader clicks on a book cover in a post or on my book review page, the reader is sent to the relevant book page at amazon.com. If the reader then purchases that book on the site, as an Amazon Associate I receive a small commission. My motivation for this practice is to permit me to legally display an image of the book cover to enhance the visual appeal of my site as well as to provide the interested reader a quick link to more information on the book. As of late October, 2019, I have earned a grand total of $13.93 over the two years I have been blogging. I have yet to cash in on these funds. I do receive royalties on the book with the same name, In Defense of Processed Food: It’s Not Nearly as Bad as You Think. I do not receive any funding from other interested parties such as manufacturers of processed foods, book publishers or any organized groups. I deliberately refuse to accept ads on this site to avoid potential conflicts of interest. I am affiliated with and a financial contributor to the American Council on Science and Health, but all the ideas and opinions stated on this site are either my own or those of the guest bloggers. I have been providing a signed copy of my book as a personal gift for authoring a guest post on my site.
